Lentil soup: On the stove and ready to go.

feb. 7, 2010: here's the link: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/giada-de-laurentiis/lentil-soup-recipe/index.html. 7 cans of chicken broth instead of 12, added our own frozen home-grown roma tomatoes to the mix, no celery, powered thyme instead of fresh sprigs, also a can of strained garbanzo beans.


  1. sounds delicious (well, with veggie broth), but I will have settle for canned tomatoes.

  2. thanks. yeah, the flavor was good. the only problem was that the lentils weren't as soft as they should have been, even though i kept the soup on the stove for an additional 30 minutes. next time i will soak the lentils and then add them to the soup. but it's still a tasty, filling soup :)
