2008 Napa Cellars Napa Valley Chardonnay: Definitely green apple flavor, crisp.

june 19, 2010: victoria bought this californian at schnucks. we needed a dry white wine for a chicken gravy recipe via http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/emeril-lagasse/perfect-roast-chicken-recipe/index.html for a dinner party with brian, jennifer, dharma and little daphne. we should have roasted this chicken for longer than we did, but lesson learned. this chardonnay was notable in that it wasn't buttery and it didn't have vanilla overtones, which made it more tolerable than usual. 13.5 percent alcohol. around $17.
